Our Mission
To promote climate literacy and an understanding of international climate policy issues among college students by employing social media as a tool and the United Nations as a platform engaging our audience in climate change discourse.

More than 190 countries (known as Parties) will gather at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP) in early December to take action on climate change. As representatives of the world's governments and international organizations negotiate policy, a parallel conversation takes place among college and university students.
Each year, ten student delegates are selected to officially represent the American Chemical Society (ACS), a professional organization dedicated to the promotion and support of chemistry and its practitioners. These attend the COP and engage their communities through various social media outlets. This year, the UNFCCC 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dubai.
Student delegates attend talks, take part in UN events, discuss special interests with other non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and interview world leaders. The students utilize various social network platforms, primarily Twitter and Instagram, to reach a broad audience of educators and activists, particularly college and university students. The students are joined by faculty mentors Dr. Keith Peterman and Dr. Gregory Foy from York College of Pennsylvania.
